Thandazani Nofingxana is a textile designer, based in Port Elizabeth. He is currently enrolled at Nelson Mandela University, pursuing an Honours Degree in Textile Design. Thandazani is also Creative Director of the textile design consultancy Chap Studios which houses his SITHI ABA collection.

He is passionate about telling stories through fashion and textiles, ranging from abstract concepts like "insecurities" to the conversations of the "African Diaspora". His current research is on using fashion and textiles as tools to challenge the notions of Afrophobia in South Africa. He has presented his work at Design Indaba Emerging Creatives, was among the ten finalists in the Nando’s Hot Young Designer 2018/19 competition, and was hand-picked by 100% Design South Africa as one of the top ten Young Gauteng Designers.
